Ms. Rozines Recognized as FCPS 2020 Region 1 Outstanding Elementary New Teacher
Congratulations to second-grade teacher Alyssa Rachel Rozines who was recognized as the FCPS 2020 Region 1 Outstanding Elementary School New Teacher and one of five finalists for the 2020 Outstanding Elementary School New Teacher Award!
Alyssa’s goal as a teacher is to help her students become the best version of themselves, and that is made clear the moment you step foot into her classroom. Alyssa’s students have opportunities to learn through community building and are guided by someone who embodies patience, understanding, and perseverance. Colleagues shared, “it is evident that Alyssa loves teaching and is invested in her students from the smiles on the students’ faces to the weekly inspirational quote the class ponders and discusses each morning meeting.” They also shared that she “thoughtfully plans lessons and is reflective about her teaching” and “does these things not because someone is watching, but because it is the right thing to do to ensure her students succeed in school and life.”
